Using Helm

Touchpad & keyboard

Use your phone as the PC’s mouse and keyboard.

Helm turns your Android phone into a wireless mouse, touchpad and keyboard for your Windows PC or laptop, over your Wi-Fi. It is handy when the PC is across the room, plugged into a TV, or the laptop’s own touchpad is out of reach.

Use your phone as a touchpad

  • One finger moves, with acceleration. Tap to click.
  • Two fingers scroll; two-finger tap is a right-click.
  • Pinch sends Ctrl + wheel (zoom in browsers and editors).
  • Drag lock for dragging long distances. A speed slider sets the feel.

Use your phone as a keyboard for your PC

  • The phone keyboard opens by itself when a text box gets focus on the PC.
  • Unicode and emoji are typed as text, not key codes.
  • The special-keys bar has Ctrl, Alt, Win, Esc, Tab, F1–F12 and arrows.

Air mouse

Move the cursor by tilting the phone — the gyroscope drives the pointer.

Bluetooth mouse and keyboard mode

The phone can also act as a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for the PC, so input works over a Bluetooth pairing too.
