Using Helm

Deck & macros

A grid of buttons that do whatever you set up.

Helm’s Deck turns your Android phone into a Stream Deck-style button grid for your PC, free and with no account or extra hardware. Open the Deck, tap edit, and add buttons with an icon, a colour and an action.

Actions

  • Press a hotkey, type text, launch an app, open a file or URL.
  • Run a script, control media or volume, wait (delay).
  • Call Home Assistant, e.g. light.toggle on light.desk.

Going further

  • Macros: several steps in a row, with delays, repeats and conditions.
  • Toggle buttons show the real state, like whether the mic is muted.
  • Live widgets on buttons: CPU %, a clock, what’s playing.
  • App remotes for PowerPoint, VLC, Spotify, YouTube, the browser, OBS and Discord.

The actions run in the agent on the PC, so a macro keeps going even if the phone sleeps.
